The Genesis Oncology Trust is delighted to announce that from 2008 the amount available for distribution annually will be increased to $1 million. We are able to do this as a direct result of the ongoing generosity of the tens of thousands of Genesis Energy Customers that donate to the Trust through their monthly energy bill.

Two new educational grants have been added to the award portfolio. The Murray Jackson Clinical Fellowship for medically qualified people, and the John Gavin Postdoctoral Research Fellowship for those pursuing a research career.

The Genesis Oncology Trust invites applications for grants to support New Zealand-based initiatives that will lead to improvements in the prevention, detection, diagnosis or treatment of cancer, or improvements in the palliative care of cancer patients.
